as Miss Trunchbull
Joining PCT for the first time, Ethan is fired up to hop on the stage as the infamous Trunchbull! Ethan graduated from SUU with a degree in Theatre Arts Education and is currently teaching theatre at Maple Grove Middle School in Mapleton. Some recent projects he has worked on have been Lion King Jr., Picasso at the Lapin Agile, 42nd Street, and Edges: A Song Cycle. He is grateful for the PCT board for making this show happen and Chase for stepping in and taking on this iconic story. Ethan would also like to thank all the babysitters who watched his daughter Brandi while he and her mom were at rehearsal. He would like his middle school students to know that they are all worthless little squits, denizens of the underworld, and that they all deserve to be in chokey. Bambinatum est magitum!
Lecksa is thrilled to be playing the role of Matilda! Her first show with PCT was Summer Nights in 2021 thanks to a dear friend who encouraged her to audition. Her very first acting role was in A Christmas Carol as Tiny Tim in the 5th grade. Lecksa loves hip hop dance and has been a member of the Centennial Dance hip hop group for the past 5 years. She has also been a part of other community and religious performance groups. Lecksa is the 3rd of 4 children in her family, lives in Payson, and attends 7th grade at Mt Nebo Middle School. She wants to thank her family and friends that have encouraged her and continue to bring her opportunities to share her love of music and dance.
as Miss Honey
Katelynn is so excited to be returning to PCT’s stage after her debut in last Summer’s production of Cinderella in the Ensemble, and this time she is thrilled to be sharing the stage with her amazing husband, Ethan. She still feels like pinching herself that she gets to play Miss Honey: a dream role!
Katelynn has done theatre well over a decade of her life, including some undergraduate studies of Theatre at SUU. Katelynn’s favorite roles include Wendy in Peter Pan, the Narrator in Joseph, and Mark Antony in Julius Caesar.
Mrs. Wormwood & Choreographer
Emma has been performing with PCT since the age of nine. This stage is like a second home to her. She studied ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical dance for eight years at Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy. She has performed in shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Scarlet Pimpernel, Les Miserables, Xanadu, Wizard of Oz among others, and was able to play the lead role of Fred in Once Upon a Mattress. She has also had the privilege of choreographing some of PCT’s shows as well: The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, and Once Upon a Mattress, and a few of PCT’s A Night on Broadway productions. Emma feels very lucky to be a part of this show and to have been able to choreograph for these amazingly talented performers! A special thanks to Jerry and Henry for doing it all, and to family for all the support and babysitting.
Micah has been doing theatre since he was twelve years old. He has been in musicals such as Newsies, Mamma Mia!, Legally Blonde Jr, and many more. He will be serving an LDS mission for 2 years in Brazil and for which he leaves in December. He hopes you enjoy Payson Community Theatre’s Matilda!
as The Acrobat
Rachel is excited to reprise her role as the acrobat, which she performed with Alpine Community theater in 2021. Matilda is a show dear to her heart as it was her first show where she pursued her dream for performing in musicals. This is Rachel’s debut show with PCT and she has felt so welcomed and impressed by everyone involved in this theater. She loves this cast and crew and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does!
as Rudolpho & Escapologist
as Mrs. Phelps
Julie has been involved in PCT for many years along with all of her kids and her husband, who is working off stage. She loves that her passion in life has become a family thing. She has enjoyed being in many different productions but her two most favorites were Miss Andrew’s from ‘Mary Poppins’ and Granny from ‘Addams family’.
She is currently the Drama teacher at Payson’s Parkview Elementary school. She has loved teaching all the kids K-5 there. It has been a dream come true for her to share her passion for theater with so many. She is thrilled to be sharing the stage with not only her youngest daughter and son but many of her current students and past students. Thank you to everyone who came to support me, PCT and the arts.
In just the past couple of months, Adele has discovered her love for the theater (but to be fair, her parents have always told her she’s a drama queen). She enjoyed her first part of a production in PCT’s Summer Nights as “Little Fiona” in the song I Know It’s Today. Adele loves to sing and dance and is the fastest, most avid reader you will ever know. She loves to cook and wants to be a chef when she grows up. That, or, a “YouTuber”…
